Lagos is the second most populous city in Africa and the largest city in Nigeria, the population is 15.4 million as of 2015. Lagos was the national capital city of Nigeria until December 1991, following the government's decision to move their capital city to Abuja which is in the centre of Nigeria.
Today we would like to present a quick overview of an installation, located in a residential area of the city Lagos, which uses the Lightgogo 4 integrated solar street light from ANETHIC, with a maximum power of 60 watts.
The solar street light system uses a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 12.8V-36AH. The solar charge controller of the solar light is a high efficiency MPPT controller which ensures that the system can generate electricity high-efficiently during rainy weather conditions.
The Lightgogo 4 solar street light uses high efficiency Philips LEDs with 5050 chips in a quantity of 28, and a 160x80 professional road lighting lens for the module. They can be used for large pole spacings of up to 30m wide.
The height of the poles are 7 meters, and the quantity is about 100 sets, mainly installed in the residential roads, public courtyards and the surrounding parks. After the completion of the project, the road lighting in the whole area has been thoroughly improved, they are so bright lighting solution and always are shinning perfectly in the night, making it safer to walk at night and significantly improving the happiness index of life.
